Since 2005, the Masonic Cancer Center, University of Minnesota, and M Health Fairview have partnered to host a free educational conference dedicated to cancer survivors, their families, and caregivers. We use this time to talk about questions and issues that survivors and their families often face after cancer treatment or transplant therapy (blood and marrow transplants, cell transplants, or immunotherapy). We invite you to join us on April 13 for the 18th Annual Survivorship Conference!

As Minnesota’s Cancer Center, MCC has served the entire state for over 30 years, providing leading cancer prevention, detection, treatment, and survivorship services. Our team of doctors, nurses, scientists, and educators is determined to be a resource for you in all seasons and walks of life, whether you’re looking to reduce your cancer risk, get tips on when and who should be screened for cancer, learn more about new medicines and therapies developed by our scientists and doctors, and receive support while navigating a cancer diagnosis for you or a loved one.

We recognize that life after a cancer diagnosis is a lifelong change to your health and lifestyle. It is a new path that not only affects you but also your family and loved ones. Our goal is to provide valuable resources and information to help you navigate the many questions that arise throughout a diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. Through our events, programs, and community partnerships, we are proud to be a resource for everyone who lives in Minnesota, as well as people from around the U.S. and across the world. We also recognize the financial burden of cancer—for this reason, all of our patient-focused programming is free of charge, thanks to our generous supporters.

Who is a cancer survivor? An individual is considered a cancer survivor from the moment they are diagnosed through the rest of life. There are many types of survivors, including those living with cancer and those free of cancer. At this particular event, we encourage cancer survivors ages 16 and older as well as parents, spouses, significant others of cancer survivors, healthcare professionals, school administrators, and social workers to attend. There is something everyone can learn about or receive support for!

This year’s conference is centered around the title “The Artistry of Resilience: Creating strength after a cancer diagnosis.” We’ll be talking about a variety of topics, including:

  • Cancer and sleep
  • Nutrition and eating for your best health
  • Music, wellbeing, and cancer survivorship
  • The crucial role that caregivers play in a cancer journey
  • And more!

The conference will be held in person on the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus on Saturday, April 13, 2024. You can also join us online. Learn more and register for free.
