Dear Readers,

Since Sahan Journal launched a year ago, you and other readers have shared with us that we’re filling an urgent need: to ensure that Minnesotans have access to accurate news for and about its immigrants and people of color.

Thank you for letting us know that you value professional, accountability reporting.

Now, the coronavirus pandemic has made that need more urgent than ever. Communities of color are particularly at risk. Minnesota school districts are trying to figure out how to fill classrooms with talented teachers of color.   And, not to forget, we are less than two months out from the 2020 elections

Demand for accurate information is at an all-time high. To meet this demand and keep our necessary reporting free for everyone to access, we’re asking you to be one of 500 members, new and renewing, to support us. Will you be one of 500?

You are a person who wants real, honest news for and about immigrants and refugees. And we are determined to keep you and others informed about our newest Americans who call Minnesota home.

Can you help Sahan Journal today? Be one of 500 new or renewing supporters.

With gratitude,

Mukhtar M. Ibrahim

Editor and Executive Director

P.S. Give now and be one of 500 new and renewing supporters. Your gift today keeps these deep, reported stories available to you. Thank you.
