All seats in the state Legislature are up for grabs in tonight’s Democratic Farmer-Labor Party and Republican Party primaries.
These include races with candidates like Adbi Daisane, who is making his second effort to win a seat in the Minnesota House of Representatives representing St. Cloud. Daisane will compete in the DFL primary against Paul Schumacher.
Some, however, are running tonight unopposed, such as Krish Subrahmanian, a pediatrician and Democratic Farmer-Labor Party candidate for state Senate who is looking to succeed retiring state Sen. Steve Cwodzinski. The seat represents parts of the southwest Twin Cities metropolitan area, including Eden Prairie and Minnetonka. He will go on to face Republican candidate Dustin DuFault and independent Kris Babler in the general election on Nov. 3.
Polling places close at 8 p.m. Election results will be automatically updated approximately every 10 minutes throughout the evening.
