Informed by the shadow of war, Amane Badhasso is running to uplift Minnesota’s immigrant voices. She’d become the first Oromo to serve in Congress.

Amane Badhasso wants to get Minnesota immigrants involved in politics by becoming their representative in Congress. Amane is an Oromo refugee from Ethiopia who is running in the August 9 primary to unseat Representative Betty McCollum. The winner of the DFL primary will likely win the general election in the Fourth District, which includes cities like St. Paul, Maplewood, Woodbury, and Oakdale, and other parts of Ramsey and Washington Counties.
